Pet Vaccinations for Dogs & Cats

Vaccines play a vital role in protecting your pet from serious, sometimes life-threatening diseases. We build a customized plan around your pet, exactly what they need, nothing they don't.

Core

The essential vaccines every dog or cat should have, protecting against the most serious diseases.

Lifestyle

Added protection based on how your pet lives: boarding, daycare, travel, trails, and tick country.

Tailored

We walk you through exactly which vaccines your pet needs, and just as importantly, what they don't.

Protect Their Health

Why Vaccines Matter

A few quick pokes over a lifetime buy your pet protection from diseases that are painful, expensive, and often preventable entirely:

Serious Diseases, Prevented

Rabies, parvo, distemper, and panleukopenia are devastating and largely preventable.

Fewer Painful Treatments

Preventing a disease is far kinder and far less costly than treating one.

Ready to Board, Travel & Play

Boarding, groomers, and daycare require current vaccines, so adventures stay on the calendar.

A Healthier Community

Every vaccinated pet helps protect the dogs, cats, and people around them too.

Core & Lifestyle Vaccines

Core vaccines are the essentials every pet should have. Lifestyle vaccines are added based on your pet's routine and risk. Tap or hover any vaccine to learn what it protects against.

Dogs Core

Rabies

Protects against a fatal virus that can spread to people. Rabies vaccination is required by law in Georgia for dogs and cats.

DA2PP

One combination vaccine covering distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parvovirus, and parainfluenza, some of the most dangerous diseases a dog can face, especially puppies.

Leptospirosis

A bacterial disease spread through wildlife urine and standing water that can damage the kidneys and liver, and can also infect people.

Bordetella

Protects against kennel cough, which spreads quickly anywhere dogs gather: boarding, grooming, daycare, and dog parks.

Dogs Lifestyle

Canine Influenza

Covers H3N2 and H3N8 dog flu strains. Recommended for social dogs who board, visit daycare, or spend time around other dogs.

Lyme Disease

Tick-borne protection recommended based on exposure risk, a smart choice for dogs who hike, hunt, or live around wooded areas.

Cats Core

Rabies

Just as vital for cats as for dogs, and required by law in Georgia, even for cats who never set a paw outdoors.

FVRCP

One combination vaccine covering feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia, serious and highly contagious feline diseases.

Cats Lifestyle

FeLV

Protects against feline leukemia virus. Recommended based on age and exposure risk, especially for kittens and cats who go outside or live with other cats.

What They Need, Nothing They Don't

We'll walk you through exactly which vaccines your pet needs, and just as importantly, what they don't need. Your pet's age, health, and lifestyle drive the plan, not a checklist.

Boarding, Grooming, or Daycare Soon?

Most facilities require current vaccines before your pet can stay or play. Tell us the dates and we'll make sure your pet is protected and paperwork-ready in time.

Common Questions

Pet Vaccination FAQs

What is the difference between core and lifestyle vaccines?
Core vaccines are the ones every dog or cat should have because the diseases they prevent are widespread and serious. Lifestyle vaccines are added based on your pet's individual risk, like boarding, daycare, travel, or tick exposure. We walk you through exactly which vaccines your pet needs, and just as importantly, what they don't need.
Which vaccines does my dog need?
Core vaccines for dogs are Rabies, DA2PP (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza), Leptospirosis, and Bordetella. Lifestyle vaccines like Canine Influenza and Lyme disease are recommended based on your dog's exposure risk and routine.
Which vaccines does my cat need?
Core vaccines for cats are Rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia). FeLV, the feline leukemia vaccine, is a lifestyle vaccine recommended based on your cat's age and exposure risk.
Do indoor pets still need vaccines?
Yes. Rabies vaccination is required by law in Georgia even for indoor pets, and diseases can still reach indoor animals through open doors, other pets, wildlife, and even on our shoes and clothing. We tailor the rest of the plan to your pet's actual lifestyle.
When do puppies and kittens start their vaccines?
Young pets receive a series of vaccines spaced a few weeks apart, typically starting around 6 to 8 weeks of age, to build lasting immunity as the protection from their mother fades. We map out the full schedule at your first visit so nothing gets missed.
