Pet Diagnostics & X-Rays for Dogs & Cats

The best decisions start with good information. Our in-house lab and imaging give your pet fast, accurate answers, often during the same visit.

In-House

Bloodwork, urinalysis, X-rays, and ultrasound are all performed right here, no referral needed.

Same Visit

Many lab results are ready while you're still with us, so treatment can often start the same day.

Plain Language

We walk you through every result and what it means for your pet before building a plan together.

Why It Matters

Why Diagnostics Matter

Dogs and cats can't tell us where it hurts, and they're experts at hiding illness. Diagnostic testing lets us see what an exam alone can't, so nothing important gets missed:

Pets Hide Illness

Testing uncovers problems early, often before your dog or cat shows any symptoms at all.

Seeing Below the Surface

X-rays and ultrasound show bones, lungs, heart, and organs an exam can't reach.

Faster Answers

In-house lab work means many results arrive during your visit, not days later.

Tracking Health Over Time

Baseline and senior screenings let us spot small changes before they become big problems.

Common Questions

Pet Diagnostics FAQs

What can bloodwork tell you about my pet?
A CBC and chemistry panel evaluate organ function, infection, anemia, electrolytes, and more. Bloodwork often reveals problems before symptoms appear, which is why we recommend it for wellness screening as well as sick visits.
Will my pet need sedation for X-rays or ultrasound?
Most pets do fine with gentle handling alone. Digital X-rays take just moments, and ultrasound is painless. Mild sedation is only used when a pet is anxious or painful, and we always discuss it with you first.
What is the difference between an X-ray and an ultrasound?
Digital X-rays give a detailed still picture of bones, lungs, and heart size. Ultrasound shows internal organs, tissues, and fluid moving in real time. The two are often used together for a complete picture of your pet's health.
How quickly will we get results?
Because most testing is done in-house, many results are available during your visit, so treatment can often start the same day. Specialized send-out tests go to our partner laboratories, and we call you as soon as results arrive.
Why do senior pets need screening if they seem healthy?
Pets age faster than people and are experts at hiding illness. Annual or semi-annual screening for senior dogs and cats catches kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, and other conditions early, when they're most treatable.
